Lena Easton-Calabria is a policy analyst at RAND Corporation and program manager for the NOAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Integrated Sciences and Assessments (MARISA) Center. Since joining RAND in 2020, Lena's work has covered topics including disaster management, public health, climate adaptation, and equity.
Prior to joining RAND, Lena worked for The Nature Conservancy (TNC) for over two years, where she focused on reducing stormwater and urban heat and created TNC's Community Designed Greenspace (CDG) program. Lena was also previously a National Geographic Emerging Explorer in the Amazon rainforest, where she conducted research for three years on globalization and climate change in land-based Indigenous communities.
Lena holds a master of science in environmental change and management from the University of Oxford in the UK and a bachelor’s degree in medical anthropology and global health from the University of Washington.
