Overview

Allison Elder (she/her) is vice president for Human Resources at the RAND Corporation. She started in RAND's Human Resources Department in 1999 and became vice president in 2011. She is responsible for talent management (recruitment and staffing), leadership development, benefits, employee relations, compensation, recognition programs, and HR systems, and plays a key role in advancing RAND's diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. Prior to joining RAND, Elder held several positions at ARCO (Atlantic Richfield) at the corporate headquarters in Los Angeles and in Philadelphia, and was a regional benefits representative for UNUM (now UNUM-Provident). She holds an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan and a B.A. in social sciences from Colorado State University.
