Lynn (Huanmin) Hu is an assistant policy researcher at RAND and a Ph.D. candidate at the Pardee RAND Graduate School. Her research interests include international development, economic development, poverty alleviation, education policy with a focus on early childhood development, and East Asia and Southeast Asia topics.
Prior to joining Pardee RAND, she was a research associate at the American Institutes for Research, where she was a quantitative lead/data analyst on educational research and evaluation projects on such topics as early childhood education, K–12 education, teacher effectiveness and leadership, and cost-effectiveness analysis. She was a Teach for China fellow from 2014 to 2016, when she taught over 200 students in a rural middle school in Yunnan, China. She has an M.A. in international education policy analysis from Stanford University and a B.A. in economics from Middlebury College.
