Danielle Sobol (she/her) is a Ph.D. student in the Research, Analysis, and Design stream at the Pardee RAND Graduate School and an assistant policy researcher at RAND. Her research interests include criminal justice and policing reform, social protection, and behavioral health care.
Prior to joining Pardee RAND she designed and managed quantitative and qualitative research, evaluation, and data analysis projects for the World Bank Group, including the Social, Urban, Rural and Resilience Global Practice (SURR), the Consultative Group to Assist the Poor (CGAP), the Social Protection and Jobs Global Practice (SPJ), and the Chief Economists office. She served as vice president of analytics and insights at EA Consultants, a firm specializing in financial inclusion, and consulted independently with multilateral, academic, nonprofit, and public-sector institutions, where her work concentrated on financial inclusion, education, and rural development in sub-Saharan Africa and in the United States. She has an M.P.A. in Development Practice from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University and a B.A. in history from the University of Wisconsin.
