Overview

Christopher M. Whaley is a health economist at the RAND Corporation and professor at the RAND Pardee Graduate School. His research focuses on health care price transparency and market structure and has been published in clinical, health policy, and economics journals. Whaley's research has also been covered in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, and CNN. He has presented results to state and federal policymakers, including the California State Assembly, the Congressional Budget Office, and the Federal Trade Commission. Whaley received his Ph.D. in health economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
