Overview

Brandon Baker (he/him/his) is vice president of development at the RAND Corporation. He sets RAND's fundraising strategy and oversees its engagement with the philanthropic community. He is currently leading RAND's Tomorrow Demands Today $400M Campaign. He has more than a decade of experience in both public and private higher education institutions. Prior to joining RAND, Baker served as assistant dean of external affairs at UCLA's Samueli School of Engineering, where he and his team were responsible for a $250 million fundraising goal, a component of UCLA's $4.2 billion campaign. Baker also served as a development director at Villanova University and Columbia University's Graduate Business School. He holds an M.A. in higher education administration from New York University and a B.S. in biology from Martin Methodist College.
